The Spanish Love Deception: By Elena Armas

 

BookTalk might be a little bit late to the party, and that’s because I have been reading the book over and over again up to the point of retaining my favourite quotes by heart instead of actually talking about them in here !.  But hey we made it and we’re super ready to spill the tea and talk about the one and only The Spanish Love Deception !

 

This is one of the books that forced air into my breathless lungs and made me flip the pages for long continues hours with a vivid smile on my face. Despite turning a blind eye on romance related books and not wanting to do anything with them, this book was different, and it did hit some nerves. The plot is exceptional AND spicy! ( Yayks I know). However, this is not a typical love/hate story where enemies catch feelings and so on. Its more than that. With every passionate thread and storyline, an indirect hidden message rests within. The indicated is a clear wakeup call for all readers. And that’s what I really admired about the book, the fact that it carries multiple messages under one umbrella, and its LOVE. 

 

But before digging into the book, I’d like to take a moment to applaud Elena Armas, for her magical efforts of creating a romantic safe haven for readers to run into whenever they feel down and in need of something like (The Spanish Love Deception) to break free. And people like (Cataline and Aron) to learn from and be hopeful about. 

 

This book is a promising life guide for strength and courage after times of weakness and desolation. It allows readers to look forward and live with no regret. But most importantly, it teaches one to wait and be serene about what the universe has to offer. At times when you feel like nothing is working in your favor, one simple incident or a coincidence turns everything around and leaves you breathless. And the parallel connection between Catalineand Aron is the perfect example for the aforementioned.  

 

When I started this book, the first few pages assured me that Catalina and Aron would never be in a relationship or even crush on one another. I mean not only did they share a mutual hate, but they were always on each other’s throat, ready to attack. However, this is where we put our trust in the cosmos. In which a simple kind act from the pair had the power to turn the tables upside down and flex the muscles in their hearts. 

 

Interestingly, the trip to Spain illustrated Aron’s true colors of being him as a persona and not having to hide under the costume of the tough and despised colleague. And I believe that this is what attracted Catalina to him. Regardless of their unsuccessful connection back in New York, they shared something deep down, an affection they both denied and tried to overshadow in the beginning . However, time was ticking and with every second spent together in Spain, their true feelings showed. This resulted in an unexpected ending and some workplace drama with other colleagues and HR.

 

Yet, despite the hardships, we all agree that tough situations serve to be a spiritual test for all new couples, because this is where they can show how committed they are to protect what they have and what they share. 

 

And I can assure you that Catalina and Aron have gone through tough tests, and fortunately they all ended in success. For, they both knew that they’ll always end up winning as long as they’re together. They formed an unbreakable bond where she’s his rock and he is hers. As Arron said 'You are not on your own anymore. It's you and me now. We are in this together, and we’ve got this.'

 

By now, I know that all social platforms and specifically booktok have spoken and posted tons of videos and pictures in regards to this book, which is why our chat will be left romantically short and easy !
