Who Rules the world? : By Noam Chomsky

Power and Politics are two functional terms that easily flex and associate with one another. The complication rests on the strategies and principles used to distribute and put the indicated into action.

Not only that, but the global shift towards an international competition to lead, played an important role in ratifying the definition of both terms to what seems applicable to the current foreign and domestic situation.

The book I’m conversing on today Who rules the World? : By Noam Chomsky tends to answer the question of who actually rules the world, by presenting an ongoing debated historical and political timeline of events that have impacted the world as a whole. With the analysis provided through chronicle cases, you as a reader will be able to build a personal theory and opposition of who rules the world and why. This book will allow you to refresh your political knowledge and stimulate your debating and critical approaching skills.

Let us begin this chat with the question and phrase that will not be out of your sight for a long time ..

WHO RULES THE WORLD? ..

Are the politicians ruling?, or is it the capitalists?. Well, this is the question we ought to answer and theorize on when we get to the final word of the last page.

Noam Chomsky mastered demonstrating national and International political cases in regards to authority and power. As a curious reader, you will be able to dictate a special train of events that concerns Capitalism. That also highlights one of the multiple ways where the ideal precision of politics is being replaced with a sincere economic analogue. As the American Social philosopher John Dewey have stated "The shadow cast on society by big business".

Indeed, politics and its correspondence have been dominated by Capitalism, as the author argued "Politics today has been reduced to a lucrative venture where one looks out mainly for returns on investments rather than on what one can contribute to rebuild highly degraded environments, communities and a nation".

Speaking of nations, With the introduction of highly recognized economic organizations and forums,  competition took place not only between individual and independent businesses only. But nation states were and still are in an antagonistic economic rivalry with one another. Despite the question marks that might appear on your faces right now, its important to acknowledge that a strong economy stipulates leadership. A universal leadership where authority and binding resolutions rests in their hands.

This resulted in a long-term competition between world powers. But in spite of that, no power transcended the authority and leadership that the U.S. had and continues to do over the world. Even at times of weakness and decline, as the author stated "American decline is real .. Despite the piteous laments, the United States remains the world’s dominant power by a large margin .. ". I’m not going to discuss American Politics and Economy, since my talk in here revolves around the basic important theories from the book in regards to who I believe rules the world , we'll leave this for another day and talk !

Throughout this publication, the author emphasized on the idea of power and how well it goes with economically powerful nations. By providing meticulous explanations in regards to the indicated topic, we were able to connect the dots and answer the questions of WHO and WHY. Yet, there have been some missing elements that were not recognized by us but pointed out by the author. This element concerns the whole idea of Who rules the world, but specifically targeting the principles that the world is being ruled upon. The aforementioned were labeled by the author as "masters of mankind".

One question leads to another. So, who are the masters of mankind? And what are they?.

Quoting Adam Smith, the author argued that the masters of mankind at the time Smith lived and logically documented his work, were basically merchants and manufacturers. This leads us into another hollow of a conspiracy-related question. the foregoing inquires the idea of merchants and manufactures still being in the position of power, or if they’re being exploited as a mean to an end for the sake of political/economic ambitions and benefits. This is the question that I believe the author brilliantly answered by illustrating world changing events that have shifted grounds for all. With that, we have been presented with a public safe space to logically answer the question of who actually rules the world and upon what principles (Based on personal opinions).

In the end I’d like to concede on the fact that I really enjoyed the book because it pushed me to deeply think and theoretically change my mind on where I stand in regards to such a huge question as Who Rules The World. In fact, as I’m writing this post and talking to you, my mind is still dancing in circles on where I actually stand. This book will not only make you come up with ideas and theories, but it will also make you question major global events as you’re reading !

Noam Chomsky authored the book based on a debatable question that is linked to multiple different answers considering different perspectives and oppositions. Since we live in an erratic world where political affairs change day by day and minute by minute. There’s no specific correct response for such an inquiry. So basically you’re free to decide for yourself!

Regardless of your book genre preferences, I’ll be recommending this book to everyone because I surely know that you as a reader will enjoy and adore this book for its writing style, debatable questions and the sequence of the cases presented.

Trust me in that
